Atlanta bulk pickup or a dumpster?

Atlanta’s Office of Solid Waste Services picks up furniture and appliances for residents. It is the cheaper option when it fits.

Size: up to 8 cubic yards per collection, about a small room of furniture.
How often: 12 collections a year; past that, each one costs $343.10.
Booking: at least one business day ahead, online or through ATL311 at (404) 546-0311. Since February 16, 2026, bulk goes out on your regular collection day.
Timing: not at the curb before 7 pm the night before; cancel by 3 pm the day before.
Not taken: building or construction materials, auto parts and tires, and anything from an eviction, a vacant property or a contractor.

So a remodel, reroof or contractor cleanout needs a dumpster. A one-time furniture purge usually doesn’t.
